Women's Self Defense with Sidagoo

Dr. Odette Russell, also known as SiDaGoo, is a Grandmaster and the wife of Sijo Abdul Mutakabbir, founder of the Swam Martial Arts Academy (SWAM). SWAM is a hybrid martial arts system that has been around for over 47 years. Dr. Russell, who holds a Ph.D. in Health Psychology, has a 9th Degree Black Belt and is the designated inheritor of the SWAM system. She began her martial arts journey in 1971 but truly embraced it in 1980 under her husband's training, where she was the only female student.

In 1998, she founded Sister Warriors Against Madness, a female division of SWAM focused on martial science and self-defense. Dr. Russell has over 45 years of training experience, participated in semi-contact karate tournaments in the 80s and 90s, and has operated dojos for two decades, teaching thousands of students, particularly women.
